97 of Their Closest Friends

It’s not like the “Charlie Brown” days where you only gave Valentines to your friends, now everyone gets cards from everyone.  So this weekend in our Valentine signing event we made bought and signed 97 cards (roughly 20 cards per kid).  That means there will be a total of 97 cards/stickers,tattoos,doodads and whatnots coming home today.

I volunteered in the preschool class this morning for their party and it was really fun.  This being all new for most of the kids their eye’s lit up at the idea of getting cards from their classmates and they were thrilled with the heart themed games.  It was refreshing.  The girls brought home their Valentine bags and opened them at home and were just so happy that “Carter” was thoughtful enough to send them a card.  It was cute.

We do have some unfinished business for the day.  We did get a card from someone whom we forgot to send a card to.  Snickers, the preschool hamster.  Not sure if Snickers would prefer Disney Princesses or Scooby Doo?
