It’s Like Easter Every Day

I’m trying to teach the kids how to do dishes.  Actually just teaching them how to put dishes in the dishwasher and take them out and put them away. Also teaching them all the techniques they can use to determine if the dishes in the dishwasher are clean or dirty (detective badges will be handed out at the end.)  Anyway when I want to find, oh say, my frying pan it’s like an Easter Egg hunt.  Where could it be?  That’s a pretty big item so there are only a few places to shove it but when its my ice cream scoop or soup ladel, forget it.  I keep reminding my self I’m teaching them a life skill.  Maybe I should be teaching them how to find lost kitchen items for when they have kids and try to teach them how to do dishes.
